This is me

I'm a Ghanaian born Canadian with a passion for people, tech, innovation and design. I believe design holds the power to change lives and ultimately the world. The ability to create is something I hold dear and consider a privilege. Creativity is power. Besides all that, I enjoy good food, good people and great movies.

Designer & Educator

I am a designer at heart with a passion for tech and futuristic concepts/ideas. In as much as I design products, facilitate workshops and help businesses meet clients needs, I am also an educator.

In the past 2 months I have taught 12 students on design and entrepreneurship in a 4-week masterclass. Through knowledge I have acquired, I have been able to provide them with the necessary resources to start and grown their own businesses.

Manifesto

For me, I believe the issue isn’t about how innovation is taking away jobs but rather, how do we create a cycle or system where people are able to transition seamlessly from one state to the next.

How do we anticipate the problems that come up during the transition process? And how do we solve for them? Understanding that, what people may not like is the transition/growth process.

Our job therefore as designers is to ensure that we create the right cycles for disruption:  nurturing, building, growth, maturity, and completion by balancing the ecosystems we design for.

I believe good design takes into consideration the whole ecosystem before making significant changes. Considering how one change is going to have a ripple effect on other things within the ecosystem.

Sometimes we may not be able to know the immediate impact of our design decisions. However, it is important to monitor continually what we have implemented so that if anything should go wrong we would have already picked up on the signals and started solving for.

Open for hire. Let's work together.
